  • September 2015

Last year we were blessed to provide a house for each of our sponsored children through Homes for Haiti; we have just received our coffee table books! Each book tells the story in pictures and letters, showing the families in their old, ramshackle homes, the process of building and dedicating the new home, and thank you letters from the family. You can view these books on the Missions table in the back of the church by the front entrance.

  • July 2015

New Hope hosted a Peanut Butter Drive, and were able to send 77 1/2 pounds of peanut butter to Lifeline for the nutritional needs of the children in Haiti.

  • Peanut Butter Drive

Over the next two months, Missions is hosting a Peanut Butter Drive to benefit Lifeline Christian Mission in Haiti. If you would like to participate, please bring in new jars of peanut butter and put them under the missions table, between now and the last Sunday in July (July 26th). We will then ship them to Lifeline.

  • Shoe Box Drive

We are having a church-wide drive to provide Christmas gifts to these children that we sponsor in Haiti. May 5th, we will have sheets for you to take that explain the whole process, what the Mission will and will not accept in the way of gifts, suggestions for gifts they recommend, and sizes for our children. If you are interested, please take a sheet with you when you leave today. In order to reach them by Christmas, we have to get them to Ohio by July, so we ask that you return your filled shoe boxes, with a $5 bill taped to the top of each for shipping costs, by the end of June.

We also ask that you continue to pray for Mamina and Wilson and their families, that they will choose to serve, obey and honor Jesus Christ, and that He will guide, provide for and protect them.

Thank you for making a difference in the lives of people around the world and impacting them for Jesus Christ.

  • April Gift Month

April was a gift month for our Haitian children, Mamina and Wilson. Through the Missions group, New Hope sent them Bible Story books, Soccer balls and $25 cash for their family to use to buy food and supply other needs.

  • Lifeline in Haiti

New Hope currently sponsors two children, Mamina and Wilson, in a school in Haiti. Our sponsorship helps them with their education,  health, and nutrition, and most important of all, it gives them a chance to learn about Jesus Christ and His Word. The Missions committee will be offering opportunities for the congregation to get involved in special gifts, and we always encourage prayer for these two precious children. New Hope also provides some funds to help with children who are not yet sponsored.
